Welcome to Glen Loch Farm LLC, home to naturally gaited Mountain Horses!

Glen Loch Farm LLC is a family-run small farm devoted to raising high-quality, naturally gaited Mountain Horses, owned by Cathy Eddy, and located on the top of a mountain in Estill Co., KY, right in the middle of Mountain Horse country. Cathy and her husband, Chuck, rode hunter-jumpers and dressage horses in the 1970s and 1980s. Now in their 50's, they have returned to a deep involvement with horses, but have discovered the pleasures of naturally gaited Mountain Horses. Starting with one gelding, Chico Joe, who was double-registered KMSHA and RMHA, they soon fell in love with the steady, kind temperament and soft gaits of these horses. Soon, a yearling filly was acquired, with plans to get into breeding. As everyone knows who rides these horses, they are addictive.....it wasn't long before a mare in foal and another filly were added to the growing little herd. At this point, it became clear that boarding was no longer an option, and property was found to start Glen Loch Farm LLC. Our herd is presently at 9 (5 broodmares and 4 weanlings), and Cathy now is employed by the United Mountain Horse, Inc. and American Gaited Mountain Horse Association full-time.
